Gonna miss seeing Ricky run. Thanks for the memories!

I wished he was there at the same time when VInce Young was playing. That would be a unstopable team for two seasons....it would have been sweet !

I still say Ricky Williams was the greatest collegiate runningback of all time. All he did was dominate.

I was a sophomore at Texas, sold my season tickets to buy 2 tickets on the goal line for this game. took my dad with me and we were disappointed on the first drive that is was 1st and goal at the 9 and he needed 11 yards. I was sure he would break the record at the other end of the field but my Pops was confident he was going to do it in style like Dorsett in '76. I still have our tickets mounted with his SI cover in my house. I'll never forget that moment only behind being at the rosebowl.

Kind of cool that both his and Tony Dorsett's records were set with TD Runs.

I remember this play. i was a kid then, but i was at the game sitting in the stands and my dad said watch, ricky is gonna break the record right here. boy wat a way to break a record and also scoring a touchdown!

Loudest i've ever heard brent yell
Wow, you're a moron. "First of all", he passed Tony Dorsett for the most career rushing yards in the NCAA history, which was broken a year later by Ron Dayne (Wisconsin). Notice how Musberger says "11 yards shy of the record." He breaks the record on a tremendous 60 yard run. Second, this is not the NFL, and not once does it say he breaks the record for the longest TD run.

Those days were Ricky's "Glory Days"! I remember when I was younger, watching Ricky run for Texas. I'm glad to see he's enjoying life now! He was definitely different...misunderstood....but no doubt a special person. I miss seeing him play in burnt orange! Hey Ricky....HOOK EM!
