With the consistent return of the Internally Displaced Persons from various parts of NWFP and rest of the country, life in Mingora is getting momentum. The services of some private cellular companies are still not restored but most of the landline phones have been restored. The voltage of electricity is insufficient but the returned IDPs can light their homes with electricity now. Gas supply is however fully restored. Education institutions shall open on August 01 that will give a boost to the return of normalcy. Khaista Rahman, a resident of Mingora thanked the government for restoration of gas and electricity supply but said PTCL land lines still need repairing and a large number of phone lines are one way for nonpayment of bills. Another local, Asmatullah, the owner of an Electric Store in Green Chowk, Mingora requested the government to reduce the time of curfew and let the people come home.
