  • @videoman223 never seen top fuel dragsters? they do that in almost a 1/4. 330 mph or so.

  • i keep clicking the red ads on the videos...im trapped

  • the car i was just watching was blue...

  • @hemo1410 "mph"

  • Single drive....hardly. without a doubt lenco 3 speed. Go to an actual drag race before we start throwing out ideas.

  • I SHIT MY PANTS WATCHING THIS VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!

  • @HateCrew05 195mph in a 1/8th mile tho ;P

  • @videoman223 its 1/8 mile.. not 1/4

  • imagine this car on a 1/2 mile run. imagine how fast it would go o.o

  • wow...

  • Press 6

  • I want to know what kind of speeds these things would hit in the standing mile. They'd probably travel through a wormhole and warp back in time

  • @gymkhanadog yeah, thats called direct drive buddy like i said with a dry clutch, all top fuel alcohol cars run them

  • @784plb And under further review, I actually did some checking and a car with horsepower numbers this high, it's actually a single speed. It has a huge rear end, and a dry clutch. Essentially no gearbox, just a clutch housing bolted to the bell.

  • @784plb You're talking about a normal car, not a drag car. They are considerably different.. Stick shift BMWs and Mercedes - and actually most other high(er) horsepower cars now adays - have in-line dual clutches w/dual pressure plates. 2 clutch plates. 2 pressure plates. That's it. They certainly do not have 7 clutches unless you're talking about a DCT clutch setup like VW use for their DCT gearboxes which use a pair of wet clutch packs.

btw, I only drive stick shift. I detest auto. <3 SX4.

  • @gymkhanadog lol you obviously know nothing about transmissions, all transmissions have clutches in them, some 2,3,4,5 mercedes has even 7 now. its called clutch packs. they're engaged through through hyd oil, atf etc. the only difference is you dont have to jam the gears, it can do it for you. even a direct drive runs a clutch, a dry clutch, but its still there.

  • @GarzaLovesYou direct drive

  • holy shit that guy hit 195 mph in 3.8 seconds

  • "but still pretty quick."

  • @videoman223 1/8 mile track dude.

  • @GarzaLovesYou You try rowing this through the gears when it takes you less than 4 seconds to get down the strip!

Really though. Most dragsters run 3 speed automatic gearboxes. It's virtually impossible to build a clutch that would hold that much torque without glazing it off the line, and for someone to shift that fast safely. Both hands on the wheel to keep the thing flying in a straight line.

  • @hemo1410 its america for god sake, its miles an hour 0:38 listen

  • 0:30 dzizys japier kurwasz dole

  • Yeah too bad this track got shut down I just realized where this was too... :(
