As I mentioned in the video, I am open to suggestions for Questions of the Day by readers. Todays Questions of the Day come from frequent commenters Damon Tucker ( http://damontucker.com/ ) and JimfromTexas ( http://www.myspace.com/jimfromtexas ). (Mahalo nui!)

Damon made a video with the coqui frogs in full force!

On the Big Island, they live with this sound.

Damon asks: What do you live with?

Jim asks: Which musical instrument would you be? (And why?)

You are welcome to answer one or both questions :)

  • Well, everyone wants to be a guitar. So do I, I guess. Which one? I'm a Strat kinda guy - I have 4 of 'em. I also have a 72 Les Paul Custom. But at my age, the comfy fit of the Strat, neck scale, and weight (for my aging back) just works for me. Every one of them is special to me but if I'd have to pick one, it'd be (err, I'd be) the '62 re-issue: Toneful, true, no frills and it takes some work to get the good stuff out of it but it's worth it - kinda like me. ;-)

  • Wow the '62 re-issue sounds like it sounds crazy amazing. Can't beat toneful, true, and with no frills.

  • Traci, why did you cut your hair? You were so hot in the pirillo tiki bar u stream. I have playing electric bass guitar for over 23 years now {longer than most marriages...lol}. It becomes a part of you.Later hottie ...

  • Had to cut the split ends for it to grow healthy. Thanks for your kind comment. :) LOL, sweet re: 23 years of bass guitar chops!

  • I would be a saxaphone, or a piano. I was going to say a guitar as one of my choices, but something made me change my mind ........ :P

  • Yeah sax can be sexy, piano can be elegant, fun, festive, and grand ~ :)

  • What do I live with: Ignorant people without a sense of pity which makes helping stray animals around me too stressful.

Which instrument I'd be: I guess an old 50s Gibson ES-335 played by bluesmen. Because I'm bigger in size than regular people, I bear physical and emotional scars as its soundholes and what I have to tell is nothing but sad stories, pain, agony and difficulties...

Please don't record another post on a windy spot like this again. It's really disturbing to ears ;)

  • Acoustic piano, no doubt.

  • Acoustic? Electric? Martin? Taylor? Les Paul?

  • Sweet! DJ-ing is uber kewl. I learned a little bit. Learning BPMs is about when I took a break, heh.

  • Aloha & mahalo for that suggestion. Will ponder on it... Any requests?

  • Heh! No dice at Wal-Mart, eh?

  • Mmmm... nice!
