USAF Heritage Flight
F-22 & P-51D
2008 NAS Oceana Airshow
NAS Oceana, Virginia
Sunday September 21, 2008
IN THIS VIDEO, watch as Max joins up with Snort for a Heritage Flight over NAS Oceana. Following the Heritage Flight, Max departs back to Langley AFB, which is a short hop from NAS Oceana. I apologize for the poor video quality, as I was trying my best to get the best video under VERY WINDY conditions, which persisted through Saturday night, but as you can tell in this video, the winds weren't as bad on Sunday as they were earlier in the weekend.
Like what you've seen? Well, if you are interested in purchasing DVDs of specific aircraft and/or of airshows, interested in anything and everything related to airshows (where the jet teams will show up, all airshow performers, airshow reports from airshows I have attended, previews of airshows I will be attending, etc.), a much more easier to navigate "version" of all of my videos, and/or everything there is related to aviation - including spotting guides to my favorite airports and military bases and aircraft factfiles, please take time to check out Steve's Airshow World at http://www.stevesairshow.com .
I completely understand your P-51 comment. Don't feel bad.

I live in Louisville KY, and there used to be a P-51 that lived in a Hanger at the international airport. One day I was walking to my truck and it took off and flew right over my head. I knew what it was as soon as I heard the Merlin engine. It was such a beautiful sight, it brought tears to my eyes. I know sounds really lame but, it was such amazing. As far as the Raptor goes, give me an F15 Eagle any day.
