A video-movie in two parts ... gives an impression of the celebration wich was given because of the marriage of Oumare Sow and Madame Sow (21 jan. 2007).

The women, children, neighbours..etc. in their most beautiful outfits...all together in a street where two open tents are placed (...blockin the traffic).

i am terribly in love with this short docu. hopelessly adore the style with which it was shot in, no narratoin, voice over or fancy editing. it just allows the sound, picture and music do all the talking to the audience. no interviews or triviality, simple and straight forward, you FEEL dakar and this family. the people in their random activities. the people, engaged in their various activities, reveal just a lil bit of themselves. absolutely lovely.

I lived in Dakar for half a year when I was a student. I loved it and I maintain many friendships there. I thought this was an amazing short film, that really gives a great impression of street life in Dakar. It's a vibrant place. I saw you snuck from Angolan music in there, but other than that, this is great! Très bien fait! Merci...
