NEPIC Golf Day 2010 held at the prestigious DeVere Slaley Hall and featuring David Edwards.
176 golfers from the Process Industry teamed up to play both the Priestman and Hunting Courses at Slaley Hall. It is believed that the NEPIC Golf Day is now the corporate golf day in the UK. The winning teams, both from Middleborough, were local engineering and consulting firms Parson Brinkerhoff winning on the Priestman and Foster Wheeler who came first on the Hunting. Parsons Brinkerhoff became NEPIC's 2010 Champions with a fantastic score of 90 stableford points becoming holders of the NEPIC Claret Jug for the next year. Teams from Fine Organics of Seal Sands and Quantum Controls of Prudhoe coming second. The Golfers were also entertained by Trick Shot specialist Dave Edwards, who will be performing at the Ryder Cup later this year, and later enjoyed Dave's review of their on-course performance during the prize giving dinner. Stan Higgins told the Golfers of his disappointment that no one had managed to win the Audi A3 cabriolet hole in one prize, and went to say "We could not put on such a fantastic day without the help of our sponsors - Sembcorp, ABB, Faithful & Gould, Fine Organics, DeVere Slaley Hall, Audi, K Home International and the PGA. The PGA announced that Slaley Hall would be the venue for the 2011 PGA Seniors Tours Event and that that the NEPIC champions would be playing in the pre tournament Pro-Am event. The day raised £7000 for NEPIC's STEM education activities.
