His 2,514 steals are the second highest total of all-time behind John Stockton, while his steals per game average is third all-time. Jerry West often stated that he was more impressed with Jordan's defensive contributions than his offensive ones.

And when ppl bring up taller defenders. Tall defenders are slower. MJ would just blow right by them with his first step and without the ball, they wouldnt be able to keep up. For example...Josh Smith is tall, athletic, but slow laterally.

This is why the Pistons put Linsey Hunter on D-Wade in 2006 because Prince was to slow laterally.

1988-1993 MJ would blow right by 6-8, 6-9 defenders. Guys 6-3, 6-4 are quicker laterally

Kobe Bryant is great. I never watched jordan play. Im only 20. But i know kobe mutha fukn bryant is a beast. lets honestly say that if kobe bryant plays for 3-4 more seasons he will be utterly considered to be just a bit better or dead even with jordan. There will never be another kobe bryant, never, never, never, never, never, never, or jordan, never, never, never but even if you like jordan more than kobe or kobe more than jordan.
