When reality tv first first started, it was real. No one knew that if you acted like a nutcase you might get your own spin off or any of that shit. For example the very first Real World...those people were nuts. They weren't all a bunch of vapid attention whores. It was real. BB2 was probably the best Big Brother ever because everything was so new. They didn't really know how people would react to certain things so I doubt it if any of it was really fixed.

i think that the producers tried to tip people off more this season because they didnt want Eric to leave b/c he was americas player.

The show is not based off the book, 1984, but rather steals the Big Brother concept from it.

All reality tv shows are influenced, in the american laws reality tv does not have to abide by the same standards as game shows, they can influence the outcome behind the scenes because reality shows are classified as entertainment. So it's entertainment, watch it and be entertained, stop worring about whats real or not, its just for fun anyhow. :)

There is nothing real about reality television. It is entertainment and nothing more. If it's important to keep Eric to preserve their gimmick or twist, don't think for a moment that they would not use psychologists in the DR to get the hamsters to perform properly in order to please the masses and make good TV. I'm sure Eric was coached by experts in how to save his skin this week. Although I believe reality shows are not real, I still enjoy the heck out of them!

Well, Dr. Will said time and time again that the only reason why he agreed to do All-Stars was because of Boogie. Initially the producers had no desire to bring Boogie back.
I truly believe seasons 2-4 hadn't been influenced. Last year's show was clearly fixed and this year's influenced. It sucks. I miss spontaneity. Every week is predictable.
This show is tired. CBS needs to put it to bed.

Which surprises me, because I remembery Boogie talking smack on VH1 about Big Brother in general a few months after he was on the show. He said Big Brother uses and abuses. They kick you out the door and want nothing to do with you after the show.
