  • @VoiceEncoder This IS DEFINITELY THE KORG!!!

  • This sounds like the Korg VC-10 which can be made to sound like a talk-box, but still sound like a vocoder!!

  • маловероятно что 303, тем более что 82 год

  • sounds like they used a tb 303. anyone agreed?

  • this song sounds so much better when its sped up a little more trust me when this jam hits the party all the homies start dancing to this jam

  • Last time I heard this was 84 and I was taken a dump - poped lock it and lucky to get out alive

  • This last time I heard this was on a boombox in the winter of 83-84 on Hollywood and Highland.

That's when people would come from all over LA to watch breakdancers and pop lockers do their thing on Friday and Saturday Night.

Some Ese was blasting this cut, breaking it in to the crowd. I remember the cut, but I never knew who it was. Thanks for posting.

  • I remember this well. These guys lived in Las Vegas. Hurt em bad was a DJ & Soul Connection was the baddest band in Vegas,I used 2 see them preform all the time, and this came out after Dance Floor by Zapp.

  • Do you know when this was released? Was it summer of '82? Dance Floor was released in early summer of '82, so I'm guessing this was released about a month or more later.

But way before Dance Floor, I remember listening to a rap compilation with all of Roger's songs in the background. Only heard it once from a car but never again, not even on radio. That must have been early to mid '82.

  • You assume too much. Not young anymore but sure wish I was sometimes. Zapp were my favorite, and I couldn't get enough of Dance Floor; I played that song for years. I like to be very specific with dates, so I put all my YouTube collections in chronological order. I clearly remember a dj on KDAY or KGFJ announcing the first release of Dance Floor. It was very early summer of '82. I was just out of my first year of high school and that summer was a very exciting time for me.
