Youngsters: A Jonas Sister Story~Chapter 39

Recap: Nick and Brittany are both sick. Joe and his mom were about to make cookies together, but the nick screamed from upstairs.

Mom- What is it buddy.
Nick- I feel yucky mommy!
Mom- I coming sweety. *runs up the stairs*

Joes POV
Mom ran up the stairs and I just trudged out of the kitchen dragging my feet. I got no attention in this house. Mom only liked Nick and Brittany and Mandy. I hated being the middle child. I was the forgotten one. I sat in my room and a few tears trickled down my face. I quickly wiped them. Daddy loved me, but Kevy loved me the most. He would always hug me and sing to me when I was sad. Right now I was sad, but Mommy didn't care. She only cared that Nick didn't feel good. Maybe if I was sick she would care about me also. Just then I did a bad thing. Some one told me in first grade that if you stick your finger in your throat you throw up, so thats wha I did. I walked into the bathroom and shoved my hand in my mouth. Before I knew it, I was puking into the toilet. It felt to yucky, and I began to cry. I hugged my tummy and rocked back and forth in the corner. Mommy came running in.

Mom- Joey! Baby are you alright? * scoops up Joe in her arms*
Joe- *shakes his head no and cries*
Mom- Whats wrong sweety?
Joe- My tummy feels icky. I threw up.
Mom- *feels his forehead* Well you don't seem to have a fever buddy. probably just a little bug. Let's get you tucked into bed. *carries him into his room where Nick is sitting in his bed*
Nick- Whats wrong with Joey mommy?
Mom- He's feeling a little sick Nicky. He'll be just fine though. Do you feel any better?
Nick- No. My tummy still feels icky.
Joe- Mine does too!
Mom- Alright. You two boys get some sleep. I'll be up to check on you later.
Joe- Bye Mommy I love you.
Nick- I love you too Mommy!
Mom- Luv you Nicky. Goodnight boys. *walks out of the room*

Joes POV
Not een being sick got me a lot of attention! I told her I loved her and so did Nick, but only Nick got an "I love you too" back!! She hates me!! I swear it! I burried my head deep in my pillow and silently sobbed. I missed Kevin, Daddy was at work, and Mommy didn't even aknowledge my existence. My life was so unfair. I cried my self sick. I got the worst headache from all the crying, but that just made me cry until I started gagging. I ran into the bathroom and kneeled infront of the toilet, still sobbing. I cried until a stream of vomit poured out of me. I was officially sick. After I was done puking, I crawled back to my room and snuggled into bed where I fell asleep.

Kevin- *walks in the front door* Hey Mom. Why the long face?
Mom- Joe and Nick and Brittany are all sick.
Kevin- Aww. I'll go check on them.
Mom- Go check on Joe. He really missed you today.
Kevin- Alright. *walks up to Joes room* Joey, how do you feel buddy?
Joe- (weakly) Yucky.
Kevin- Its okay buddy. * puts Joe on his lap* Kevin's here now. Everything is alright. *runs his hand through Joe's hair*
Joe- I missed you Kevy.
Kevin- I missed you too. I don't have school tomorrow though. How about if you feel better, we do something together? Does that sound good?
Joe- Yeah! I can't wait Kevy!
Kevin- Now you get some rest. *lays him in bed ans kisses his forehead* Goodnight Joey. I love you.
Joe- I love you too.
Kevin- *turns off the light and leaves the room*

Kevins POV
All was quiet in the house now. Mandy was at Beth's house, and Dad was at work. Mom was busily working in the kitchen, and everyone else that was home was sleeping. Our family has the weaket immune system. Just then the phone rang.

Kevin- Hello? Jonas residence. May I help you?
???- Yes. Hello. Are you a legal guardian of Brittany Jonas?
Kevin- No Im not. Im her older brother.
???- Could you put your mother or father on the phone? This is Dr. Malkerson, Brittany's pediatrician. Her blood test resuults are in.
Kevin- Of course. Just one moment please. *hands the phone to his mom*
Mom- Hello?
DM- Hello Denise. I have Brittany's results from her tests.
Mom- Alright. Is she alright.
DM- Well...Im sorry but-
The line was cut dead as the power in the house flickered off. There was a bad storm occuring at the time.
