RandomMocker, how can you hate this piece? It's filled with unmitigated joy and happiness. I saw Parkening play it a few years back. I am not a fan of the extended hammer-on part, but other than that, I like Andrew York as a composer very much.

You couldn't be more wrong. Before even reading your comments I was literally just thinking how much more lyrical this performance is compared to her older recording of it, and it gave me the impression that she has had plenty of experiences since the last recording where she was pretty young (about 15 or 16)
I don't normally like this piece much for some reason, but this performance really stood out and I really enjoyed it.

No fair, she plays live concerts in Beijing but not all over the world! Why hasn't anyone signed this girl up yet for an international record deal??? >:|
