@543693The The first voice is original but I changed the rhythm a little bit whyle playing - from my feeling . The second voice I have added. The chords are original but in an "Elvis Presley" -rhythm. Merci beaucoup and best regards. Martin

people.this beautiful melody on guitar is a cutsy wootsy shell without tremelo,,,,,,anyone with a clean tremelo, can make the sustained line sing ,a la pavarroti,,I have a muscle problem,or I'd have uploaded a respectable perf.needs two guitars, tune down 6th
one whole note,,do in key of D,

@tkelly411 I've used this technique (tuning down the 6th string to D and playing tremolo with the index-, middle- and ring finger of the right hand) for Italian pieces like Santa Lucia or for Flamenco pieces. For romantic melodies like this I prefer simple tones with vibrato. Thanks for your comment. I'm looking forward to listen your version. Please remark that Pavarotti sings the latin Ave Maria which have nothing to do with the original lyrics by Walter Scott.
