A random little fanvid. A little pressent for karriedreammind as she is my online gruber/rene friend and all of the clips used are from the episodes that she has uploaded on to youtube so far.

I love the song and thought that the theme of being in love with someone but them not returning those feelings suited rene and gruber.

A video on Youtube called "The Return of Allo-Allo" said that because of its ban on any speaking or communication of Nazis or WWII, Germany was the only nation in Europe that didn't have a group of Allo Allo fans. Has this changed?

@captainamerica1967us I believe there are many Germans who are fans of this show but they probably would't have seen it on Germany tv, However, there were plans a few years back to start translating it into German and show it on a German TV channel, I do not know if that has happened yet but have not heard of the plan being cancelled.

I totally agree. One of the best comedies of its time and it has aged brilliantly. One of the best moments of my life was meeting the cast they are truly lovely people

Wow, good work! I really liked it. Good choice of song, and you combined it well with the video clips. Thanks for the subtitles as well - hadn't it been for them, I wouldn't have had a clue what they were singing. I only would've recognized some of the names and English-sounding words, and wondered what the heck Harry Potter and Playboy had to do with it all... ;)

Anyway, nice video. Me likes! :)

@HachoHahilinga Of course I do not think all Germans are Nazis. It was on TV though about Germany banning Nazi items being sold or TV shows about them. I'd love to come over to visit. I've heard that a lot of beer sold as "German beer" in the US doesnt taste as good as the same beer made for Germans.

yes, very late, but better than nothing, allo allo is coming in german TV since 2006, i'm from germany and i love it, it's my favourit comedy-series ^^

Who doesn't love Gruber? Really, I can't think of a person. I'm also pretty impressed that a nazi could be made likeable in a show. Now THAT'S good writing!

'Allo 'Allo started in early January this year on german Comedy Central. - i dunno if it was aired earlies, but they say it's a geran premiere... but as usual in ads, you can't be sure if it's the truth or just some marketing gag.

I like this vid. It has a very big cult in my homeland, together with You Rang Mylord, Fawlty Towers, Blackadder. I have all episodes on DVD (You Rand Mylord as well), I watched them several times! Really great! Gruber, René and the bumbling, greedy Colonel von Strohm are the best!
