  • 2 minutes of blah, blah, blah and then I fell asleep. :)

  • have to admit that did make me laugh.

  • Just a few points on the vid:

at 2:36 I should have said left hand hammers AND pull offs only(no picking) and not left hand hammers only.

  • What's that cricket chirping? Thanks.

  • summer in the South of France.

  • What model is the Ibanez and the Classical guitar that you play? By the way excellent playing on both and you have a very nice style and touch. JD...

  • omg T_T what the hell is that ringing in the background... IT'S DRIVING ME INSANE >.<

  • great lesson, you're also a good teacher

  • you can't play fast if you're not relaxed, remember that newbies!!

  • Thanks so much for this vid, Rick. You changed the way I play the guitar. After 3 weeks of practice, I'm now playing legato cleanly and effortlessly :)

  • Found this really informative,thank you. =)

  • Great lesson!!

Please watch my video: "Damn Jam".

    Greetz, Fred Westra (Holland).

  • Great lesson. One question for you:

Around 4:05 you say "hammer on the third finger at the same time"...what do you mean by that?

    Thanks

  • at 2:01 are you picking hard or is that the noise the pick makes when you play? i notice alot of guitar players make that same noise with their pick.

  • Amazing lesson,simple and effective!

I have a rather unusual problem with my legato technique: when playing hammer-ons the hammered notes are distinctly louder than the first (picked) note.

Do you have any advice about that matter? If you do,please let me know.
