A real-time journey down the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway from Duffield to Wirksworth on December 31st, 2006. Footage was shot from the cab of a BR diesel multiple unit. (more)

  • @darthdmun Not actually the case. Occupation crossings generally do not require sounding the horn although we do tend to sound them on the approach to significant footpath crossings or where sighting is poor

  • I once pissed off the 3rd bridge along, it was a great feeling, maybe one day i will piss on this train

  • why did you not sound your horn?...as your meant to to that every time you cross a road....even if you pits gates across, you still have to sound your horn.

  • A more up-to-date version needs to be filmed. Good though.

  • used to cab the 20's and 25's on the stone trains at Duffield when I was a kid. Even saw a 'peak' on it once!

  • I think this line was open one weekend in the 80's for wirksworth carnival
