Metroid Megamix: Ultima Prime

This massive megamix suggests what could be considered as a final boss theme for a fictitious battle against Dark Samus coupled with the essence of Metroid Prime at the end of the Metroid Prime Trilogy.

I did wish there was such a final boss. Had the true essence of Prime shown itself again for the final time, I imagine that it would have been spectacular.

Note: Some of the themes may be more difficult to identify individually while listening. I typically edit some of the original themes for use as background sound layers.

This mix was fairly difficult to make. Unlike "Duel of Destiny", it is not intended to impress as an "over the top" climatic epic. Rather, it was intended to suggest a sense of purpose and determination, helped along by a driving rhythm.

@BoyMadeOfMustard Neither I'm afraid, though I appreciate the praise. These mashups and megamixes hardly qualify as true remix or composition material (though I'm currently working on that). If anything, they're just fun demos of my editing abilities. Got lots more coming too. :)

now, while i think this is an awesome mix, i dont think that it would be apprpiate for the final battle. It needs a little less boom boom psst, and a bit more urgency. Like, go to the dark samus theme at 1:27. Yes, i want my boss battles to have a sense of grandeur, but i need to feel under pressure as well.

I must say that this one sounds more like a Mission Final than a final boss... (Sounds like it would be played for the credits and such)

I got chills. Dark Samus was a great villain in Echos because she was a relentless monster that just followed you around and messed up your day without any consideration for the rest of the plot. The fact that as soon as you beat Emperor Ing and you think you've won, she just pops right in front of you and tries to kill you AGAIN is great.

In Corruption, Dark Samus became a lot less unique, but I did like the fight with her (But not the fight with the AU).
