The Last Temptation of Christ (Wall of Breath)

Just a short tribute video for my favorite film of all time, Martin Scorsese's The Last Temptation of Christ, starring Willem Dafoe and Barbara Hershey. Music by Peter Gabriel. For this clip I used the track "Wall of Breath" (of the original soundtrack to the film).

I used to love the film....that is until I read the book

@flyingmojo5 - did you hate the book? Or did you dislike the film in relation to the book (in which so much more occurs)? Frankly, I often seperate books and their film counterparts from one another. If I like a film, I like a film, irregardless of how I feel of the book... Usually if I do like a film, I also tend to appreciate the book, too, of course. ;)

I think discussing Jesus Skin colour is silly. His teachings are of value. Even if his skin was purple does it make a difference. Everybody should stop claiming Jesus. He came for everyone and first of all for the sinners.

It is Christ's final test. The devil shows him the life he could live. We are first lead to believe Jesus takes this course believeing the devil is a messanger of God.  In the end he is shown how this effects all people and he begs to be forgiven and to be allowed to carry out his death on the cross.

Saw the movie few years after it came out, didnt know what to think of it then, my believes are differnt now and im ready to watch it again and find out my new feelings.

@Princessportent No, I haven't heard the specific soundtracks you mentioned, but I love all his music, and esp. his work with various musicians from around the world. He's an amazing talent. I love Ennio Morricone, and Maurice Jarre. Their works are powerful. Hans Zimmer is great too.
