This was taken at around 1.45pm at Malin Head on Mon 12th Sept 2011. Malin Head is Ireland's most Northernly point. The centre of Ex-Hurricane Katia was passing just north of here.

Yes, taht's should be around 80mph. When I'm was 20 years younger (and stupid as many of us in this age) I was traveling top of quick driving pick-up. Same feeling.

I think it was around 80mph, Hurricane force. If i'd jumped up, I tell you...I'd have been in the sea. It was very very powerful. Wind blew up my nostrils and out my mouth.
