While the Savage Arms Company has been well known for its line of rifles and shotguns, they also produced handguns during the early part of the 20th century. Larry Potterfield, Founder and CEO of MidwayUSA, takes a look at this interesting automatic pistol. This model features an exposed hammer, double stack ten round magazine, and a thumb safety. It was chambered in 32ACP and 380 Auto. Savage manufactured the model 1907 from 1907 to 1915.

  • Anyone know when savage made the 1907 with the small 1915 slide serrations? I have one exactly like this and cannot find out anything about when they switched from the large to small serrations.

  • I am larry potterfield and thats how gay it is!

  • Interesting that the hammer is fixed to the slide instead of the frame.

  • neat gun
