I remember this on MTV. At the time I think it was one of the best things on there. Great song with an excellent commentary of the times. Great plot in the video. KIM CARNES ROCKS!

I'm surprised you never saw it on MTV, because they played the absolute hell out of it! The song was never a huge it, and I never understood why. Let's be honest, Kim Carnes had one big hit and that was it. It happens. But this song was way overlooked. It is SO good...and like you said, it was ahead of it's time. It was too dark for the day, but I love dark songs.
