Thanks so much for this. This was a special order for me at my local record store (remember those) in Clacton-on-Sea after hearing Tracey Thorn post Marine Girls on Peel, The Kid and Skinner's shows in the evenings. Still have the vinyl in the basement, but haven't transferred it to digital yet. This album was a great, but gentle teenage angst anthem of the time. Thanks again.

When I was at Plymouth Poly I used to listen to A Distant Shore all the time and then try to play the chords, they are simple but its her voice and the lyrics wow and now she has gone to produce a new album and have recently heard the divorces on Jules Holland.

Music for close, grey summer afternoons.

This is probably my favorite song from this cassette. Simple, but heartfelt.

For a brief period I wrote to Tracey when she was in Hull University, fantastic songwriter, her voice improved over the years but didn't need it. This was my favourite track.

what a nostalgia trip. brings back many evenings working on college work backing in the eighties, sounds so perfect in it's imperfection (if you know what I mean). love it.
