Dr. Donald Tashkin UCLA Geffen School of Medicine Pt 2 of 2. Conclusion of 2 part interview with the famous research doctor from UCLA Geffen School of Medicine. Pulmonary research on use of marijuana and interaction with the lungs was funded by the Federal Government to prove that lung cancer is caused by smoking marijuana, however the results proved cannabis does not cause lung cancer.
Cannabis was made illegal because the paper industry was split between the hemp and the wood pulp factions. The wood pulp people had more money and won, which caused a negative ripple effect in our society such as the loss of a valuable medicine. Since the prohibition of cannabis began the cancer rates have grown at an alarming rate. Cannabis is used for thousands of purposes and it's loss of use has caused great hardship to everyone.
It is time for truth to prevail and prohibition to stop.

  • what they didnt say is that most car accidents are caused by marijuana addicts, and they can transfer HIV from sharing pipes

  • @WeedIsNotHarmless This comment is totally false. There is no evidence to support that weed causes any impairment while driving and there are no statistics to even hint that pot can increase the potential for accidents but studies prove the opposite. Further there has never been a case of HIV from smoking on a shared pipe. Unsubstantiated and false allegations are being made here which is what the opposition does because they have nothing real to use against using marijuana. Smoke on!

  • @WeedIsNotHarmless Weed is not addictive. There are no marijuana addicts.

  • @aolthof007 Not to be rude but these statements are completely false. Yes marijuana does provide impairment on driving and it is proven. (no most car accidents aren't caused by this) HIV could possibly be transferred by the pipe but there is such an incredibly small chance there is really no point to that arguement. It is incredibly unreasonably to say there are no marijuana addicts as there are thousands its just the effects of withdrawal that shows addiction occurs weeks after its consumed.

  • @ghastslayer85 Which statements? How are they false. I have seen the studies and they do not show any impairment or adverse effects of using cannabis nor is it addictive. Cannabis, or hemp, has been a part of human existence since the beginning of time. Hemp may be one of the first plants humans cultivated and it is a part of our beings. I could go on but the space is limited and you can watch the video to learn about one of the benefits of cannabis.

  • @planetofthescums 2) For young adults, cognitive development is fine if you smoke it sparingly. Unfortunately, if adolescents are daily users, then I'm afraid it does affect brain morphology directly. Now, for everybody else, overall, the changes in the brain are insignificant. The Psychological Medicine Journal 2010 analyzed over 65 studies, 8 of which were structural imaging studies. Only 3 of the 8 structural imaging found significant changes in the brain among pot users.

  • @planetofthescums I missed the part about interpreting logical facts, lol. Well, if you're speaking of adolescents, then it is a problem. Actually, it's a problem for everybody. The THC activates the CB1 receptor that leads to memory impairment. According to the Neuropsychopharmacology Journal 2010, drug dealers have excessively crossbred our cannabis to have higher contents of THC than CBD, and CBD negates the memory-impairing effects of THC. We need to get a balance going, that's for sure.

  • @aolthof007 As for HIV from pipe sharing, lets no be a complete idiot. the ONLY way that can happen is if BOTH people have cold sores/open wounds on their lips.

  • @aolthof007 cannabis 'CAN' impair our reactions because THC has that effect, however the CBD has the opposite effect, so high CBD strains are best.

Barely any car accidents are actually caused by marijuana, most are actually caused by alcohol and other drugs.

Marijuana IS NOT addictive, there are no addictive substances within marijuana, however people can develop dependencies which are caused by external situations which are usually down to the lifestyle of the user.

  • @WeedIsNotHarmless I love driving high cuz the car feels like its mad fast but its only goin 20 mph LOL

  • @WeedIsNotHarmless DAM stop spreading propaganda

  • @aolthof007 I've driven, not in the past couple of years, while high on cannabis... I drove like a pro driving instructor. I stuck to speed limits, I balanced while standing still... I seen things coming before they actually happened as it made me MORE AWARE. Anyone that hasn't smoked cannabis needs to be quiet and let the grown ups talk and debate about a natural plant grown in earth.

  • @WeedIsNotHarmless I hope this is sarcasm :-D if not take a trip to a high bridge then jump off please. People like you are the reason the world is in the mess it is in. If not HAHA well funny.

  • @WeedIsNotHarmless
