  • sorry adam that was me who walked in front of the camera at 2.21

  • @kaolla1000 No worries :)

  • this one has been preserved now I think?

  • I'd got a price agreed for preservation but the person I had it agreed for pulled out. Last I heard it'd been sent to the scrappers; can find out on monday though.

  • The Leyland Lynx buses in Bristol were scrapped too, apparently. I think it probably happened in 2006 but I was only young then. They kept the Dennis Darts that were new to Badgerline in Bristol.

  • Sadly Arriva North East did the same. They scrapped or sold on all their Lynx's. Or they got rid of all the ones in service. They kept the crappy Daf's which are well... crap. I loved these buses. I think arriva NE got rid of their Lynx's between 2005- 2007. I'm not quite sure when they got rif of them. It was a long time ago now. I was only uoung then. I never saw one broken down, not like these Daf's and Dennis Dart's from the early 90's in which many are in desperate need of new Gearbox's :)

  • I used to drive these up in the highlands and spent most of the time travelling at 50+ between stops they used to coast for ages when you took your foot off the throttle think they've all been scrapped now though as they were falling apart sadly.

  • ooooh me never knew that, but yeah i prefer the old one because it is louder.

  • They still have Cummins engines... just that the new types sound different to the older ones.

  • are you talking about the Dennis Darts with the new engine. Hate the new engine, it has no character. They should stick with the good sounding Cummins. Dennis Darts are my fave type of bus n i hate seeing them without their proper sounding engine.

  • we had a few ex arriva lynxs at south glous bus and coach good buses better than the stuff now

  • Love the sound of a LYNX great, engine and gearbox very good. The body was a bit crappy with the corosion around the wheelarches
