According to a recent study by noted economist Dr. Anne Layne-Farrar, for every three workers coerced into joining a union under Card Check, one job will be eliminated.

That means an estimated 600,000 jobs could be lost due to Card Check in the first year alone.

Under Card Check employees are given a card. They can sign in support of unionization, against unionization, or to have a secret ballot. Card Check does not take away the secret ballot. It gives employees the ability to choose. Elitists like Newt are scared of Card Check because unionization campaigns could take place without managements awareness and intimidation.

Most of the problems with the unions would be solved if the members were placed back in control. There are too many unions where the officials have tied up the process, ensuring that they cannot be voted out of office.

I worked for a Union HVAC/Sheet Metal company for 12 years and the owner loved it. He wouldn't have it any other way. The owner got more respect from his UNION employees than our NON-UNION competitor because he treated his employees right. Oh, largest HVAC/Sheet Metal company in Las Vegas, Nevada.
