  • Yeah that pretty much has been my experience with JR. They don't want to talk and make you feel stupid. I called Futaba and they were willing to discuss details about their radios. (And they have options.) Every time I call HORIZON I feel like I am getting pushed off the phone because of the high call volume. (Imagine that) I will be replacing my 9303 with a high end Futaba in the NEAR future. I love the way the 9303 feels, but it's not worth dealing with Horizon.

  • Horizon is crap, they LOVE monopolies and they are eager to rule the rc hobby having in mind anything else than money.

  • @Joseph4Lakers I've used Futaba for both Electric Cars and Yachts, they've been excellent quality and feel regardless of how low-end each of them happened to be and of a reasonable price too. The stock servos and receivers have been far beyond the quality and capabilities I've required and the range has been too good to make use of when running such small models.

  • I never had a radio of Futaba or JR but I would choose JR. Why? I can bind it to all my e flite stuff and its JR! But Futaba is very good from what i heard.

  • Futaba 1 - JR 0

I assume the JR guy wasn't taking you seriously. Maybe he didn't realize 5,000+ people would view this video...

I personally like the lower priced receivers and have had no problems with my Spektrum stuff.

If I was flying serious planes at big events...I'd look to Futaba

  • I love Futaba. I have a 10C. I had a DX7 but it stopped working. It was over a year old, so the warranty was void, so it couldn't be fixed for free, but even so Horizon didn't want to know. I agree entirely with Jayvo86. I once called Futaba to see if a 10C and a 4YF would work together, so the guy on the phone got a 10C and a 4Yf and tested them thee and then. But I use a Spektrum module as Horizon have a niche in the market with the BnF things. Its annoying.

  • @nitrochef That's the way aha aha I like it aha aha

  • FASST is the most reliable system. If you care about your airplane you fly FASST.
