Double blind??? Actually this method is for test of subjective matter like expensive audio cables. For these HHO devices it's not appropriate. These either work or they don't, the results can be quantified. The test should be performed by a professional without regard to prior opinion of the outcome. Neither expensive audio cables or these HHO devices work but only the audio cables (the subjective one) requires double blind test to prove this.
About OBC's. One problem is that on board computers monitor engine performance. If you add HHO to the air intake manifold it has to be as close to the engine as possible, AFTER any sensors. Also you have what is called an O2 exhaust sensor. With HHO injection you will get more oxygen in your exhaust. The OBC, through your O2 sensor will think your mixture is too rich so will decrease air intake. Negating any increase you may get in efficiency, if any. Again, engine with an OBC, not a good idea.
Do not use a car with on board computer system. Unless you are knowledgeable about them. It complicates things beyond most peoples abilities.
Use a cheap engine you can ruin, because unless your pistons and valves are ceramic coated they will eventually rust using HHO, no matter how dry you can get the gas. Especially if you let the engine sit for an extended period of time after using HHO in it. (weeks/months).
Adding HHO mix requires different piston timing too. Just a few hints good luck.
I am a back yard amateur engineer/mechanic. i started tinkering with HHO producers about a year and a half maybe two years ago. Only recently bothered to look up this on youtube. It's pretty interesting, the spectrum of opinions of HHO. I have a few hints for anyone who wants to take up the hobby. Firstly be careful, safety first, this stuff is highly inflammable and if you don't keep the proper safety precautions the loss of your eyebrows will be the least of your problems. CONT...

BlackDogSociety uses Smack the Quack's genset video as "credible evidence" that hho system can be beneficial.
