Proof that even Turbocharged Hyundai Accents are Slow as Balls. I don't get how a Turbocharged Accent runs only a second faster than the stock 1/4 mile ET. Seems like a huge waste of money, if you ask me.

  • Hey "TheLucas91", you don't know shit. The guy opened up his hood and showed me the turbo setup because I asked about it, so shut your fucking mouth. And grow the fuck up and stop using the word "Noob". You only make yourself look like a douche.

  • A kid I used to go to school with has a turbo accent. He put it on the dyno and blew the motor. With SOHC and the base motor like that, no one should ever boost more than 6 lbs. In those cars. Ask that accent that ran 12's if he has the stock block casing. Doubt it....

  • Accentdomination, face it Accents are slow... I should know, I used to own one that was ALL done up. I chose the right thing & got out of the ricer world you live in.

  • Well Put! Hyundai "Accidents" suck Ass!

  • i have hyundai accent 2005 with 2l forged with turbo T3/T4 setup....at only 5 spi on dyno i have 190whp@6100rpm and 235 wheel lbs torc@4100rpm...my setup can take 20 psi daily...last week i have raced a subi wrx 80-200km/h at only 5 psi(the lowest boost off my wastegate) i don't think at 20 psi with more than 380whp i am very slow... think to that

  • Beta swap and around 20psi should keep him up to that AMX. Trying to get power from a turbo'd SOHC alpha though, not so much.

  • I made 15.8 with a stock 2.0 in my accent, with 1.6 ECU and 13" winter tires. My ECU is now Chipped and imma run with 15" wheels. That accent's setup suck and the driver sucks too. 1.5L STOCK can run 17 seconds

  • There are plenty of Accents, right here on YouTube, that can smoke this one. He takes off hella slow in the first place, like he's stalled or bogged. Maybe his "turbo" isn't all it was supposed to be. You seem to have some kind of an axe to grind nirvana, and this video doesn't prove anything except this guy can't drive, or his "turbo" project was a fail.

  • 1 - The sohc motor isnt a bad base, the scoupe turbo used the same block with low compression pistons and oil squirters. it ran 8 non intercooled psi, so i imagine you could boost more than 6 on the standard hi comp motor.

    2. the -9- second accent which is the first 'related video' to the right uses a stock hyundai elantra 2.0L block, and previously used a STOCK 1.5L SOHC BLOCK, with a built bottom end etc.

    3. you cant say from ONE video that an entire model of car is slow.

  • That accent isnt even fucking turbo you noob fuck

  • one accent over was running 12.8@120mph on a 2 liter engine turbo with stock internals @12 psi
