  • Absolutely amazing! Korean people in north are more beautiful than their compatriots in south. They are not corrupted by the democrazy ideas from US and Japan.

  • @TheTollundWoman I've never heard anyone, left or right, say they like the actions of the North Korean government or even talk about Kim Jong Il in an even remotely positive way. he was a sadistic, narcissistic, monster, and the world is much better place without him. The North Koreans are being greatly mistreated They're trapped in their country, starving to death, years behind in terms of technology, farming, building etc. They deserve better.

  • @PajamaLass

As for a safety net...North Korea's healthcare system has completely collapsed, 40% of the population has latent tuberculosis, and nearly 3 million people have died of starvation. When people "fall on hard times" the government leaves them to die in the street. but no one cares about that fact in the "Left" in the US or Britain, they keep saying Kim Jong Il was an "anti-imperialist"

  • @PajamaLass

Socialism *can* be a good thing- like the British national healthcare system, or public schools in the US, before the govt. cut funding so much they became ineffective. I was responding to a comment saying "This (the video of North Korea) is why I love socialism." I think it is sickening how western leftists defend this dictatorship without having any idea what its like to live there.

  • @TheTollundWoman Socialism can be a very very good thing. Every country should have some level of socialism in their country on some level so that the people have protection/ a safety net to catch them when they fall on hard times. The world isn't just sinking or swimming. Pure Socialism doesn't work, but socialism in general is not a bad thing.

  • When North Korea eventually goes bust they should start a circus :P

  • @platanorico86

you love socialism? then buy a ticket to Pyongyang. Adios, comrada..

  • This sounds like a whole nation running on galloping well trained wild horses!

  • No doubt, after watching this games, I can´t even think about Olimpic Games; they are left far behind in the dust!

... I wonder if there would be enough gold for so many people!...

  • Olimpic Games?! — ... what for? — DPRK has much better!

  • AWESOME!

What a lesson to the whole world!
