She's not fat at all, guys... It's called muscle.

Either way--do you really think Olympic trainers want their little gymnasts eating junk food? Most girls are starving themselves, and those who arn't sure won't be stopping by Mcdonalds. Eating badly would put her in horrible shape for gymnastics, no matter how much training she gets. And if it WAS fat, don't you think with all her exersize, she would've lost weight? It's all muscle, there is nothing to lose!

Not to say Shawn is just an Amateur athelete. Her performances at the Olympics were masterful. But the Most Prestigious Amatuer Athlete Award goes to the best athlete who displays their talent above the rest. The requirement age is that you must be 18 or under. So age wise, Yes, Shawn was an amatuer until she turned 19. Not trying to sound like a smart alec or anything. Just stating a fact.
