No, he didn't find his father. There was supposed to be a second season but the network cancelled the show because it was difficult to film a series in another country back then. There was a story on Maya and this in TV Guide at the time.

That's interesting! The series last aired in North America on the Turner Network in the 1990s.

I loved this show when I was a kid. It didn't run for long, though. They should put it out on DVD.
