Be certain your pipe runs, rigid tubing, and flexible hose will fit properly by creating a digital prototype to provide accurate manufacturing documentation with the robust tubing and piping functionality in Autodesk Inventor Professional.

  • I am a piping designer - trust me, if it was 'easy' everybody would be doing it and if it was as easy as shown in this clip I would have more time to play golf! the software is great but there is so much more to it

  • You are absolutely right, piping design in inventor can be very much irritating and confusing. Sometimes i just want to go back to my previous company and to my job in Solid Edge. I don't want to say that Inventor is not good software , but piping ....

  • Totally tubeular :)

  • @vinesboyseventysix .

It's pretty easy, just set the style I want, click the connecting points, and route the pipes. If I need to move part of the run path, I edit the sketch and it all updates.

I cannot see how doing this "manually" with regular commands in ANY design software is easier. Perhaps you can describe what "everybody" is doing that is simpler than this?

  • I just downloaded Inventer2011 for my class,,, I was wondering is PDMS better? for piping cause im going for a Petrol/ Industrial A.A.S Degree?

  • Im looking to hire someone to create an animated 3D video of a mechanical design involving a water pump and piping circuit...anyone interested?

  • No working Drawing = No 3d Model

    simple has that.

  • I agree with you, my school use inventor for the technical drawing. It's great software, powerful actually for a lot of part i.e; a pretty much complex turbine for my final project, but I'm really sure this software really confused me in piping.
