  • @BigLisaFan I think you are missing the point, and for the most part, Canadian and US school buses are exactly the same, the plant my father worked at was US owned, and built buses for both markets. The buses are no safer for the students, in fact they are more dangerous for them, if the have seat belts like cars do. School buses, even without them, are 8X safer than cars. School buses and coaches are exempt for passengers.

  • @skatecubed . Guess US school buses are different than Canadian ones. It's been years since I rode one but they still look the same inside the ones I've seen lately. It's just that we have so many protective devices we have to use and school buses seem exempt. In any event, the bottom line is no one on the bus was seriously injured.

  • @TiconderogaX You are wrong, amphetamines, cannabis, oxycodone, and a few other drugs including cocaine were found int he drivers, and passengers system in the autopsy.

  • @JesusWasAnAsshole The bus driver was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol, the car driver and passengers were under the influence of multiple illegal drugs.

  • @JesusWasAnAsshole That is ok, since you obviously know very little to nothing about driving or vehicle control, we all hope we never see you on the road either. The testing of professional drivers is rigorous, and ongoing, not to mention we also have to pass regular medicals, the bus driver is probably a better driver than you (unfortunately) will ever be. We might be safer if you stick to taking the bus.

  • @niselat First, I would not let a young kid do that, second, it is a mass casualty situation, treat the most likely to survive first, more people live then, third, the bus driver's first responsibility is to the passengers (kids) not the car driver or occupants.

  • @v0708628 I witnessed an accident involving a ford explorer and a semi 10 years ago, i got out of my semi to try and help the victims in the explorer, to no avail. the images still haunt my dreams a decade later.

  • @j0rdan1794 If the bus had swerved into the other lane, it would have likely rolled, exposing it to far greater risk of a deadly collision for the occupants of the bus, and far greater risk of collision with other vehicles driving in the correct lane going the opposite way.

  • @j0rdan1794 legality in this situation has nothing to do with the right thing, the bus driver doing anything other than what he did would have put everyone on that bus at much greater risk, by rolling the bus, sometimes, you have to do what puts the least number at the least amount of risk, and that is what the driver of the bus did, you obviously know nothing of the operation of large vehicles, they roll easy, high CG.

  • @zachhcaz99 the worst attempt at attention and "like" whoring I have ever seen, you are so sad.
