Latham and Ferris vs Gilbert and Tony Charles from Memphis, June 7, 1979.
Historic match as Eddie Gilbert makes his television debut under the name Tommy Gilbert, Jr.
Larry Latham went on to greater fame as Moondog Spot. Wayne Ferris is - of course - the future Honky Tonk Man. Tommy Gilbert Sr. makes the save.
Nice look Honkytonk blonde hair and black mutton chops.

Great clip! A lot of stars in there. Nice early studio clip from the Channel 5 era.

Tony Charles was one of my favorite wrestlers as a kid. His matches with Bill Dundee were awesome technical matches that were way ahead of their time. The Blonde Bommers (Lathum & Ferris) were a really good team - wish they could have lasted longer.
