Thats funny, mine done the same they even layed 4 eggs in the nest and used to take turns to sit on them.

ididnt know females did that' i thought it would mainly be the males that do so, but guess not.

It's not crazy, it's normal for pigeons. The pigeon hens has a "rooster" behaviour: they are very love to fight for the territory and cocks.
