This interview reveals a "lost song" - which is quite possibly Phil Lynott's very last recording. The track, called "Do You Want To Rock?", was produced by Lynott, sung by Colbert Hamilton and features Phil on bass and backing vocals. It was recorded in Lynott's home studio in Richmond, less than 3 weeks before his death on Jan 6th 1986. The audio is a bit rough as it was very much a work in progress, but Lynott's unmistakable sound can be heard throughout.

Paul Murphy talks with the song's co-writer and lead singer Colbert Hamilton (otherwise known as Black Elvis) and features sections of this previously unheard song - that had been sitting under Colbert's bed gathering dust for over 25 years...

This feature is part of a series of audio slideshows celebrating what would have been Phil Lynott's 60th birthday in August 2009. Supported by the Birmingham Music Archive and Birmingham City University.

Presenter: Paul Murphy
Production: Sam Coley

Thanks to Colbert Hamilton and Jez Collins
