@JohnCKarnay I love Mr.Bungle. But, they weren't THAT original, just creative. I mean, if you think they're the most inventive band in the universe search up 'CIRCUS APPARATHA ' to see all traits of Mr.Bungle done in the 70s by a Swedish prog band, or even the more obvious choice of Frank Zappas 'Brown Shoes Don't make it' for an even earlier precursor. Or Mike Oldfield who merged an even wider range of genres together consistently since the 80s for that matter.
Still, amazingly talented band.

Just listen to Goodbye Sober Day, Ars Moriendi and Ma Meeshka Mow Skwoz and then tell me they're not original. I dare you.

Mr.Bungle was not original in a 100% at all, but was a great band

@nessusred Bungle took influences, sure, but what band hasn't? The fact is that most bands take influence from maybe ... one or two genres at most, Bungle take it from about a thousand!

If you can say Mr. Bungle is unoriginal, you obviously have never looked up the definition of originality. Bungle took their entire sound from a combination of funk (specifically porn themed), metal(including death metal), rap/hip, soul and disco and mixed it with ambient and practically everything else you can think of including bits of opera and classical. Name another band that is that original? Dumb asses.
