Maybe you can help me with a problem I have with my JVC UX-A 70 MDR MicroSystem.
[the dump is full of surprises,maybe you come across a faulty one and manage to help me with the MD mechanism...who knows?]

@DrCassette I was speaking in terms of digital music were its more instantaneous vs. a slightly more tedious manner in which old playback systems require.
I completely agree with you on internet radio, I see its the same with FM radio around the world. My local stations in California USA suck as well :op
Why was it not good to swap the Technics cartridge/headshell with the Hitachi headshell?
Was the sound not good and if so, did you adjust the tone arm counterweight to compensate for a slight weight difference between the two different headhshells? Sometimes the weight difference can be the main cause for any sound distortion, so adjusting the counterweight can often remedy the situation.

@TorontoJon
The Technics and the Hitachi headshells require completely different tone arm adjustments.

That is a really nice setup you got there. Also I didn't know you could get an internet radio component that you hook to the stereo. I always thought you'd just have to hook the stereo to the computer or something.
Do you have to pay any monthly fees to get internet radio?

@wilkes85
No, you just have to buy the radio and that's it. It comes with an access code for a web site were you can organize your favourite stations, make folders etc.
But I think the unit would even work without the web site access, only thing it needs is a service that provides a list of radio stations that the radio can access.

Nice presentation of your system. Iooks very organized. On the topic of radio broadcasting, I was wondering if Germany has HD radio over the airwaves and if you do, how popular is it?

@margaretsville
As far as I know we don't have any HD radio. We do have digital on air radio, called DAB. It's as unpopular as possible. I do have a DAB receiver, but I don't get any reception where I live.
