Illinois Isn't Broken. It's Fixed.

Illinois has top-quality institutions, abundant natural resources, vibrant centers of commerce, numerous Fortune 500 companies, and an economy that is one of the largest in the country.

So why is everyone leaving?

736,000 more people left Illinois in the last decade than came here. Only New York and California have been worse.

But Illinois isnt broken.

Illinois ranks 48th in the nation in economic performance.  Only Michigan and Ohio are worse.
But Illinois isnt broken.

Nine Chicago Democrats -- The Chicago 9 -- live within 10 square miles of each other currently control more than $70 billion worth of government and more than 125,000 public sector jobs in Illinois; an enormous concentration of power.

But Illinois isnt broken.

You see, Illinois is plagued with rigged systems that are doing exactly what they are designed to do and producing the results desired by the Chicago 9.  These systems are run like carnival games, where the winners are already chosen; the results are preordained.  They are systems designed to produce loyal voting blocs to sustain the livelihoods of these politicians.  They are not designed to work for the Illinois people.

That's why the State of Illinois isn't broken.

It's Fixed!

The challenge is not to fix Illinois, but to un-fix Illinois.  Illinois must have a system that works for Illinois people and Illinois businesses.  It needs a system of unbiased rules and impartial laws.  Its people must be free from the corrupting influence of this government and the whims of a select few.  Success must not be a function of access, but the result of hard work, dedication and personal responsibility. The reign of the Chicago Nine is not inevitable, but only if we are ready to challenge them.
