Speaking from a white perspective, I know first hand that white kids DO get their butts beat. We just do it after you get home as to not make a spectacle in the store. I got my butt beat one time just for saying "but momma" to asking her if I could have some certain cereal and she said, NO, and don't ask me again.... but, I had to say, but momma... and then, my butt was momma's when we got home! I learned no means no that day. Momma Don't play that!! lol

One of my black friends said he remembered trying to hide some candy in a grocery store when he was little. His mother tore him up in front of everybody, including some of his friends that were also there. He said that it wasn't the whipping that hurt, but the embarassment of his friends seeing him get one. Needless to say, they kidded him about it, but today, he's glad she did it.

Sorry but being white, I only had to be slapped once to know that kind of shit would NEVER fly. I can tell you right now if I slapped my mom or dad my ass would be laid out on the floor. Sure there was an argument here and there, but hitting them? They pay for your food, your home, bed, school, all of that. The LEAST you can do is do as you're told.
