but you still want a rover as a pet, with all the humanizing the media's passed on, so yankees keep funding these childish bot missions that keep nasa's hopelessy lazy and only marginally qualified (they had to contract out getting there!) staff in HUGE salaries.

I think you'd have to be a moron not to realize that mars was once in earth's "Goldilocks" zone or lifesupport not too hot not too cold zone, as the sun was hotter in the past! (yeesh). All we're doing with motorized Fujitsu cams on mars is getting the dust facts on our current ball of matter when the sun is colder than it is now. yawn. :)

My hats off to Dr Steve Squyers and his teams!!!!!!!! I have never seen anyone with more charisma than Steve. We had so many others who were involved with space in the past. He is so far the only one that has sat and will tell what he knows or does not know. That to me is awesome. We cannot land and expect answers right away. It is Science. We have to keep going!! :)
