Waterfall jumping -- Richmond, North Yorkshire

On a recent trip to Richmond, North Yorkshire, I saw this bunch of young gentlemen engaging in amusing, if dangerous, watersports.

I did this myself back in the seventies when I was in my teens.

It is something of a "Rite of passage" in Richmond. In Pamplona you run with the bulls, in Richmond you hurl yourself off the falls!

thats true but there way off to the left and right theres a white line of in the water where the bubbles are if you jump on it its okay any pritty deep :D

Fact: There are spots where is very shallow, especially at that waterlevel. There is a very shallow slab not far from where they are jumping.
