Here's a demo video I made of Nexuiz 2.5 single player with all the quality settings at maximum. It clearly demonstrates the differences between version 2.4 and 2.5.

Nexuiz is a 3d deathmatch game that has been in development since the summer of 2002. The goal of the project is to create a high quality first person shooter that can be played freely across all platforms in one package: PC, Mac, and can be even included in Linux distributions. The game is entirely open source, with the sources of the engine, gamecode, map files, and compiling tools, all included with the download, all under the GPL license.

  • Holy shit you suck, in this kind of game you have to aim in front of people if you're shooting with a rocketlauncher, not at them!

  • @grineti5 Should be able to.

  • Quake much?

  • Is that a Deathmatch Classic map???

  • Maximum settings need 1GB minimum VRAM to run smoothly. My CF HD 4850 lags like mad on MAX but is smooth on High because of ram size. Maybe an HD 4870 or GTX 260 would be more stable.

  • can i run this on LOW SETTINGS if i can run games like BF2 no problem?

  • last time i playd on this map it was on quakeworld and i got my ass splattered! but then again thwe quake 1 weapons were unbalenced and the players were good

  • I know it uses Darkplaces engine, I used it myself to play original Quake 1. At least there's true free mouse look, not that annoying mouselook spring featured in original Quake 1, so this alone makes replaying old game fun again.

  • @Reloaded211 This is actually the first Quake engine, but heavily modified.
