Suggestions and the overview of two Pioneer headphones. Flagship Generation 1 headphones and Gen 2, which is the HDJ2000.

You'll be able to see what's good and what's bad of each product.

They are both good headphones, but you'll be able to see whether these are for you

  • You must have a giant head because I've been using my 1000's for years and they look brand new. That or you are hard on your gear...

  • @MrMariusroyal i can post pictures of my 1000's and they seriously look brand new. so it must be my head because it broke after using them while i was taking them off during a radio show.

  • @sneekyhan

I see... Don't take offense to the big head comment just wondering why they would fall apart on you like that. I always thought they looked a little flimsy, but mine managed to remain intact for years. Do you wear them on your hear or around your neck most?

  • @MrMariusroyal oh yeah, no offense taken. I do have a big fat head and honestly, i do wear them a lot. I have gigs pretty much every night and when i did use them, they'd constantly be stretched and worn and taken off so it seems that even after Pioneer reinforced them a bit more, they still would break like that. That was my third pair of 1000's that didn't last a long time. My friend wears them and he's rough with them, the joints get really loose, but it hasn't broken there.

  • @sneekyhan Hmm... I know that Tiesto uses the 1000's GOLD edition. Are those plastic as well?

  • @MrMariusroyal probably, most things that are gold are painted gold. it's not often in the dj community that things are actually gold. unless you win dmc or something i guess.

  • @MrMariusroyal I got the HDJ 1000 LE Gold, and yes it is plastic - but it's good built tho. It also has a bigger sound element than the regular 1000. The earpads are not as soft as on the regular 1000s either. I prefer the gold rather than the regular. The black ones are the same as the gold ones.

  • so these are not around ear? or is it if you've got big ears....??

  • lol i thought u were black b4 u turned the camera :]

  • @sneekyhan Oh ok. I thought they might be metal and painted or plated gold. Thats stupid then... What headphones do you currently use?
