Part 8. Copyright BBC Films and UK Film Council. 2005 Film starring Hugh Dancy, John Hurt, and Clare-Hope Ashitey. I OWN NOTHING.

Based on a true story. An exhausted Catholic priest (Hurt) and a young idealistic English teacher (Dancy) finds themselves caught in the 1994 Rwandan genocide. They must now choose whether to stay with the thousands of Tutsis about to be massacred or to flee for safety.

  • where is the rest of it. It's great, i was a bit disappointed to watch nearly all of it and then have to just leave it.

  • @lamlyn Unfortunately, the site that I had downloaded parts of the film off of had been taken down before I was able to save the rest of the film to my hardrive. I apologize :( I would have loved to upload the rest.

  • @rabbitwho 3. None of the Rwandan characters were developed, there were strong characters but they had very few lines. It's all about white people feeling pity, the Rwandan characters could have been substituted with puppies and kittens and the film wouldn't have been that different, I think that is part of the reason for all the racist comments on this video, people don't understand the complexity of what happened. This is the biggest problem with the film.

  • Problems with this movie: 1. It didn't explain the history behind what happened and the fact that the distinction between Hutus and Tutsis was created by the Belgians, the people they thought were better looking were separated from their families and called Tutsis, named after a legendary tribe that nobody is sure existed.

    2. Even though a lot of the actors are good in other movies they were awful in this

  • @TheEve30 Depends on who you talking about

  • I thank you for uploading this I wish the whole world would watch this.Africans are it's own worst enemies!

  • @VitreousCut

unfortunately no. i rented the film, which i recommend doing. and *spoiler alert* the united nations gets called out, all the white people make it out OK, and directly after they leave, within minutes, the Hutu interhamwe lining up outside, storms in and kills every single one of them. except for six of them the priest saves, they escape through the woods at a road block, and then christopher, yes the man selling the medicine, shoots him in the stomach.

  • @bubblyburberry24 Oh well, thanks for uploading. We will just have to assume that they all got out okay, and everything turned out just fine... right?

Just make sure not to read the wikipedia entry.

  • @lamlyn no worries, i thought there might be a good reason. I really appreciate what you did download :) it's a great film.
