*note*
Audio might crackle for the first 30 secs or so on the first beat.

These are beats made in Rebirth RB-338, which is software which actively emulates the classic 808 and 303 analog synths. It was the precursor to the Reason software. It's pretty fun to use and can make good 808 drum lines.

you can read about it or find links to DL it here:

8 beats I made using the program. They're all 4/4 styled rap beats except for the last one which is sort of a jungle beat, the one in the middle is styled after Eazy-E's stuff in NWA. The bass lines are limited because the TR-303 emulator can make some very cool sounds, but the analog interface is cumbersome to say the least. The TR-808 and 909 are well done in this program (especially the 808) and are easy and fun to use. I use the TR-808 on all of these, and the 909 very limited for some extra drums on the heavier beats. The program gives you two TB-303s to work with, but theyre a pain in the ass so I usually only used 1 if any.

  • How can i record live? I try recording in Song Mode but it reallly doesn't work. I want to live record but don't really know how.

  • not sure what you mean, but to output a file you just go to output in the file menu.

to actually make a mix live the easiest way is just to set up all your patterns first, then go to song mode, set up a loop, and then hit record and play and start turning on and ordering your patterns, and it will keep looping and recording what you do.

  • nice beats. just one thing:

    from your description:

"These are beats made in Rebirth RB-338, which is a freeware **ANALOG** software synth."

A software synth cannot be analog.

  • you're correct :), what I mean't to say was that it emulates an analog synth, I don't think it just replays back plain samples, it actually creates the sound through processing.

  • The beat at 2:00...fucking ace!

  • I don't understand how you can say the TB-303 sounds like crap! They did a great job on it, sounds pretty damn close to the real thing.

  • good drum machine I think overall; really if one is a musician has a clue where we are going musically it is very simple to manipulate sound and key into what can be done or not. The soul of a musician will look beyond the trend set new ones. Many old school, many would say patterns are demonstrated yet when the majority think of deep bass especially in rap or hip-hop I think ones mind is entranced to think, "well I have to create the late 80's and so on. Yet anything can be made new.

  • Hey any body able to tell me why my rebirth dose nothing , I have no idea how to use it, Please some one help me out.
