Every year i sail the channel with my yacht and this song is always in my head as soon we're there. I like this typical Gouldman song. This band was such an exception!
10 CC was a band very english for Europe audiences not for USA. They were very smart in their own pop philosophy approach. It was highly intellectual and funny in a simple complex way. The technique for performing musically got a high sense for creativity not for silly audiences although they, perhaps, pretended to be a mass-group, but not, you had to understand it, and in USA, I remember some people did not understand it. The reason: the 70s extended the independence of the markets into Europe.
For my reckoning, this is one of the most perfectly constructed pop songs of all time: a beautiful sentiment, gorgeous harmonic and melodic craft, a fabulous solo break, and all in under 3 minutes!

Great!!! I've searched for this song from a long time a go. It was the flip side of "I'm not in love" when it was realesed in Spain.
It's such a hard song to find. I love it; thanks for posting.
And by the way...., no objections here at all neither.

There's another B side called "Good News" --seems like the rarest of the original lineup's output. I wish someone would post it.

Yes I had it as B side of I'm not in love. A wonderful melody, the ending is one of the best I've ever heard.
Lived by the Channel by the way (at the time)..
