Offering my Strat to the feedback gods.... This is what can happen when plugging a Proco Turbo Rat pedal into a tiny Pignose amp. I've always enjoyed exploring feedback drones and the full harmonic capabilities of the electric guitar, emphasis on the word "electric". This resulting short is something of an homage to Pete Townshend, Jimi Hendrix, Lou Reed's infamous "Metal Machine Music" and of course Sonic Youth. Enjoy and don't forget to turn it up!

  • Is that turbo rat some sort of boutique pedal?

  • Not a boutique pedal per se. Just a spiced up version of the classic old Rat pedals. :)

  • pignose + Fender baja tele + Ibanez weeping demon = good tone ?

  • No, that classic little Pignose isn't a tube amp. Not sure about the Ibanez weeping demon 'cause I'm not sure what it is. A stompbox? The bottom line is, and you hear this a million times but it's true, is it's all about experimenting. This guitar with this pedal or this amp. There's so many possibilities out there and at the end of the day you gotta just find a way to make the most out of what you got at hand, whatever that is! :)

  • oh shit, I'm soo stupid. it says TURBO on the fucking title... I'm gonna get one!

  • Thank you all of you guys! I'm glad you're enjoying it. :)

  • More distortion is needed.

  • You should have opened the box up for the wah effect!!

Awesome though, I need a pig nose to try out my super octave with! I sounds awesome with my mesa!

  • Turbo Rat rules.

  • I respects pignose amp.

  • thank you for not sucking. and displaying great use of that pedal like should be. peace.

  • Very nice aggresive noise... ;)

  • sos una maza vieja, aguante el noise!

  • hey man a fun thing to do... i see you have some acoustics back there... i used to work in a music store and i would go into the acoustic room after hours with a 100watt tube amp and play full vol feed back... however i recorded 4 or 5 mics as close as i could get to the acoustic bridgers so when they started sympathetic resonation you could hear it droning along as part of the tone.. no mics on amp just the acoustic bridges ... fun fun fun stuff

  • I forgot to add: The only thing he didnt do is pour lighter fluid on his Strat and set it a fire at the end. LMAO.

  • This is one of the best Pignose demos here. Just cracks me up. Shit I expect to see this guy at NAMM this year trying to kill one of these little $80 amps. I just sent a Cube 60 back because it was just a garage band noise box. Watch all the Cube demos. In comparison this guy and the little Pig smokes their asses. I'm posting this on my site. Ten friking stars.
