  • I had a good chuckle watching your vlog as it was so true. Being Deaf myself, I wasn't aware of the annoying sounds, but the reason for my amusement was the visual background noise of the fan spinning. You were talking about distractions. How apt!

    ;-)

  • Very true!! I've never thought of that until iron brought it up. Which is too true LOL Thanks for the remind again :)

  • Hello...I cannot hear at all, not any vlogs at all. However you did mention music. I would like to add that one time I didn't know I had music on and an user got pissed off at me saying why did I have music on if I'm deaf?? I simply said I have children that can hear even though I was annoyed at the comment.

  • Maybe you had music on too loud? :) Or rock n roll music? :) I tend to use rave music or light music... not too often.

  • How about visual noises like a ceiling fan spinning in your background for example. I dont find that annoying but we need to know that noise isnt limited to the auditory spectrum, it can be in the visual spectrum too.

  • Now now now that's another good suggest :) I didn't think about that. Thanks for pointing that out.

  • Yes I can hear some vlogs dogs or tv mostly.... I hear w my hearing aids but i think they can turn off mic while do vlog??

  • You are complaining about noise, while a fan is turning, behind you.

Don't you know that fan is annoying to Deaf people, who have head noise?

  • You farout...Never think like that... Wondering if turning off the mike in video recorder or something like mute.

  • I really like your fan. :P

Hearing people's videos are a frustration at times. Sometimes they ADD music to the background WHILE they're talking. Occasionally I'll say something in the comment. I know it doesn't make an impact, but if it's frustrating enough, I'll mention it. I've started adding transcripts to the description sections, and have captioned a few vids, but the latter takes forever. And that doesn't always work because of color contrast issues.

    It's very frustrating. 2009?

  • Interesting comment and I never thought however why we do have to worry about others.

I find an annoying noise in your vlog by your fan reflecting on your window. You should place yourself in different place.

    Good Luck.

  • I simply remove the audio file from video editor or turn the audio and microphone off from the webcam or digital camera or camcorder. that's so easy to setup. I bet some of them are still old-fashions without knowledge of technology. There are nothing you can do it for them. Peace!

  • All we have is kids' music here so I doubt it is rock n roll music LOL! My boys know the rule that they cannot turn up the volume since we live in townhouses so we have to respect other people living here. If it was on too loud, I would know by the vibration but who knows? The commentator was mad because he thought I was faking my deafness and that I shouldn't use my hands to sign but anyways.

  • Yeah I know what you mean some deaf people try to talk making moaning/grunting sound or yelling when they're angry.... I do same thing in real life but on vlog I tend to stay quiet.
