I'm very happy with this STI Spartan 1911 in .45 ACP. I didn't have a bunch of time at the range but I was able to conduct this quick gun review of the accuracy of this amazing firearm. You get STI Quality at a very reasonable price. STI, the magazine that came with this was terrible! As a Utah Concealed Carry Instructor, I'm generally happy with this firearm. • The only reservation I have is the rear sight when carrying IWB. Should I switch to Novak sights or are the stock ones good for not ripping your skin up?

  • @gunnutM14 Sights really are a personal choice. I can see your point and concern about this ripping into the skin. I've never had that problem. I do, however, always wear an undershirt. In all reality, the optic sight in the front is not really ideal for CCW either. That sucker gets broken and you're in trouble. Good luck!

  • Were you closing your eyes on purpose every shot fired or???? Nice grouping even with your eyes shut!

  • @Creepinevil LOL, no, just the one eye closed. I'm right eye dominant.

  • i thought the act mags were supposed to be very good

  • @Lvl22nerd If they are, I got the worst lemon of them all. I'm shooting Chip McCormick Shooting Star mags now and they work great!

  • limp wristing

  • he uses his right eye in aiming his shots....

  • sweet 1911 man

  • @myutahccw you should be able to leave your eyes open then, unless you meant left eye dominate, but to each his own

  • I'm left eye dominant and have trouble with having a clear sight picture as well with both eyes open. My solution was to put clear tape on my shooting glasses over my non-dominant eye where my sights align. Lets me have a clean sight picture every time.

When shooting blinking DOES matter if you want to become very good with it. Seeing the sights lift after the shot is an advanced technique that cannot be accomplished while blinking. Not flinching, however, is the more critical of the two.

  • @Creepinevil when shooting blinking does not matter as long as your not flinching

  • @Creepinevil He was using the Force.
